Here De Angels Dominant Black Type Victory
Congratulations to all the owners on a ‘never in doubt” victory yesterday at Caulfield by Here de Angels. Steven Arnold rode him a treat and whilst he was a little wide early he was poised to strike which he did and on the corner the race was over and nothing was going to threaten him. He wasn’t knocked about and was strong on the line. He ran a terrific time of 1.08.82 as there was quite a significant head wind and with the weight it certainly was an impressive effort.
We wont be heading to the Gold Coast on Jan 9 for the sprint up there so there is another similar Listed race at Caulfield same day, same trip same prizemoney, weight would be the concern as to what he’ll get but guess we wait and see. He does carry weight well however.
I’ll speak to Mark about then running him in the Group 2 Australia Stakes 1200 at Moonee Valley Friday night 22nd January as it is at WFA reducing the weight problem. He’s shown a good liking to Moonee Valley so at the weights it looks a logical path for him. The horse worked terrific during the week and is obviously a very happy horse.
